GALEO YACHTING & TRAVEL Agency was founded in December 2000 by Mr. Gunes Aysun, formerly the Managing Director of Hatsail Yacht Charters. The company, incorporated in Turkey under the company name Med-Sun Tourism & Yachting, Inc., received the permission from the Turkish Ministry of Tourism to operate under the agency name “GALEO” (Group A travel agency license, Nr 4143). The base of GALEO’s operations is Gocek, located at the heart of Turkey’s yachting itineraries. With affiliate offices in Fethiye, Bodrum, Marmaris and Istanbul, GALEO is able to provide all yachting services along the Turkish coast and neighbouring Greek islands. GALEO manages and operates a wide range of charter yachts in Turkey and Greece, as well as offering yachts for sale, yacht management and travel agency services to worldwide customers.. With an international mindset, GALEO cooperates with many charter & sales brokers, travel agents from all over the world.

GALEO became a member to Turkish Shipping Chamber of Commerce in 2006, a member to CYBA ( Charter Yacht Brokers Association) in 2002 as the first Turkish broker, and a member MYBA (Worldwide Yacht Brokers Association), again as the first Turkish yacht broker, in 2009.
