What Are the Advantages of Using Us When Buying A Boat ?
We have resources available to us that most yacht buyers do not have. We can assist in the selection process by helping the buyer clearly define his yachting requirements and by providing objective information needed to evaluate each yacht. Sometimes it is necessary to have that more objective point of view. We can help in the negotiation phase of the project. There are myriads of negotiating factors, including but not limited to price, financing, terms, date of possession and often the inclusion or exclusion of repairs and furnishings or equipment. There may be give and take associated with every step. We will advise the buyer throughout the due diligence process of evaluating the chosen yacht. Recommending the extent of the survey to be used in the inspection and helping to identify the most qualified individuals to conduct the surveys are two key functions of a knowledgeable and experienced broker during this phase.

What Are the Advantages of Using Us When Selling A Boat ?
In most markets around the world, over 75% of yacht transactions are cooperative sales through other yacht brokers. Through worldwide Multiple Listing Services and other cooperative marketing networks, open houses for other yacht brokers, or personal contacts, we have the tools to maximize exposure to your yacht. During the selling process, we can give you up-to-date information on what is happening in the marketplace including price, financing, terms and conditions of competing yachts. We get your yacht sold at the best price, quickly and with minimum hassle. We can help close the sale of your yacht. Between the initial sales agreement and closing (or settlement), questions may arise. For example, unexpected repairs are required to obtain financing or a cloud in the title is discovered. The required paperwork alone is overwhelming for most sellers. We are the best person to objectively help you resolve these issues and move the transaction to completion.

Please check our listings to find the most suitable yacht suitable to your needs, and contact us for any questions & enquiries you might have.

Traditionally hand made by master craftsmen, attractive wooden motor-sailers, “gulet”s are comfortable vessels. A gulet is a traditional design of a two-masted wooden sailing vessel from the south-west coast of Turkey, although similar vessels can be found all around the eastern Mediterranean now. Today this type of vessel, varying in size from 14 to 45 metres, is popular for both commercial and also private use, and sophisticated building techniques are used in construction for epoxy-coated laminated wooden or steel hulls. Over the years gulets have evolved from traditional fishing and cargo vessels into their present profile of a broad beam and wide deck. Constructed mainly in the shipyards of Bodrum, Marmaris, Bozburun, Fethiye, Antalya and Istanbul, and along the Black Sea Coast, the boats are equipped with diesel engines as well as fully functional rigging. The number of passengers a gulet carries depends on the boat’s size, although most of them accommodate between eight and twelve people.

The process of commissioning a custom built Turkish gulet starts with the choice of boatyard which is the single most important factor determining the quality of the final product. Finding the boatyard best suited to one’s needs is paramount. With our long experience in the field, we have the best resources to provide you with the valuable insight in this process.

Private or Commercial Use?

One of the most important decisions to be made by potential buyers is whether the gulet will be used privately or commercially. Yachts which will be used commercially either in Turkish or EU waters have a different set of requirements which must be implemented during the building phase to qualify as a commercial vessel and to avoid expensive refits.

Yacht size

The average length of gulets built in the 1970s was ten meters, in the 1980s twenty meters, and in the 1990s thirty-meter boats were the norm. Bodrum boatyards are currently building vessels 40 meters and longer, at which point they may be better deemed “ships”. While most prospective buyers have an idea of what size boat they wish to build, it remains important to check that the boatyard chosen has the facilities to accommodate the desired size, as well as previous experience with similar designs.

Timing, Scheduling & Delivery

One of the biggest dilemmas facing any boatyard is that of time. An excellent boat absolutely cannot be rushed.

Types of Wood & Traditional Construction

While there are many types of wood suitable for the construction of wooden boats, gulets have traditionally been made of pine, African mahogany and Iroko (West African Teak). In recent years, epoxy laminate (mahogany) has been the building process of choice by most builders for strength and durability.

Steel Gulets

New techniques have allowed for excellent results with building steel-hulled gulets in Bodrum. The largest steel gulet built to date is 50 meters long, though there are only two boatyards specializing in steel constructioin in Bodrum.

Epoxy Laminate Gulet Construction

Epoxy laminate construction has been the choice in recent years for gulet construction due to durability. Up to 7 layers of alternating mahogany veneer create an extremely strong hull for modern gulets.

Another decision which the buyer needs to make is that of certification. The type of certification will depend on whether the yacht will be exported for commercial or private use outside of Turkey and for future resale value. Turkish Lloyds, R.I.N.A. and U.K. Lloyds specifications for either the hull or the entire yacht can be applied in selected boatyards.

What will it cost?

Depending on the factors above and the electronic and other equipment that is desired, a wooden boat can be expected to cost between 300,000 EURO and 6,000,000 EURO with a delivery time between 12 and 24 months.

Custom Quotation

If you would like an estimate for a custom built gulet, please contact us with your requirements, including type of construction, size, number of cabins and whether you intend to use the yacht for private or commercial reasons. We will return to you with the approximate costs and delivery time.

A motor or power yacht is a watercraft or vessel, usually smaller than most ships.

You will find in our web site our selection of power yachts available for sale. We have a variety of power yachts available for charter from prestigious brands like Azimut, Benetti, Ferretti as well as from Turkish yacht builders like Mengi-Yay, Ses etc.

We consider a mega yacht is a vessel that is generally large, like a yacht over 140 feet in length, and one that meets the high standards of design and construction. Additionally, it is a boat that excels in one or more particular fields, be it the standard of craftsmanship, the ornaments of the interior, or even the sheer size of the project. An average mega boat is three to four levels consisting of a lower deck, main deck, upper deck and finally the sun deck. What you find onboard these decks can blow the mind away: helicopters, swimming pools, spas, basketball courts, movie theatres, concert halls, floating golf courses; what an owner decides to put on board is limited only by their imagination.

We provide a careful selection of sailing yachts available for sale. Mass-produced sailing yachts are mainly in 32 ft to 50 ft (9 to 16 m) range. We have a variety of sailing yachts from builders like Jeanneau, Beneteau, Bavaria, Hanse, Dufour etc available for sale. Most large yachts, 50 ft (15 m) (15 m) and up, are also sailing cruisers, but their design varies greatly as they are often “one off” designs tailored to the specific needs. Luxury sailing yachts are generally 82 ft (25 m) or longer. In recent years, these yachts have evolved from fairly simple vessels with basic accommodation into sophisticated and luxurious boats. Sailing yachts of this size are often highly automated with, for example, computer-controlled electric winches controlling the sails.

A catamaran (from Tamil kattu “to tie” and maram “wood, tree”) is a type of boat (or occasionally ship) consisting of two hulls joined by a frame. Catamarans can be sail- or engine- powered. The catamaran was the invention of the Paravas, an aristocratic fishing community in the southern coast of Tamil Nadu, India. Catamarans are a relatively recent design of boat for both leisure and sport sailing, although they have been used for millennia in Oceania, where Polynesian catamarans allowed seafaring Polynesians to settle the world’s most far-flung islands. In our database, you can find a selection of world’s most known brands like Sunreef, Lagoon, Fountain Pajot, Privilege etc.
