The more you can tell us about your interests, period and duration of travel, number of people participating, budget, and even about your dreams, the better we will be able to guide you to the perfect selection. We personally inspect all the yachts we offer, know the crew and itineraries well, and try to find the perfect match.
Charter durations are flexible and depend on the yachts availability. Most guests book weekly charters, which is the standard structure in the Mediterranean. Some yachts also accept shorter trips, day charters or special event bookings. For longer journeys or seasonal cruising we can organise extended charters. Please bear in mind especially during high season, i.e. July / August, most yachts impose a minimum of 5 days charter period except last minute charters.
Take some time to view the different choices available for yachts and itineraries. Before finally making your decision, it is often helpful to discuss your charter plans with us. Once you have decided which yacht is the most suitable, ports you wish to embark and disembark, and the dates of your cruise, and we negotiate the scheduling with the yacht owner, we will draw up the appropriate contract for you to sign. This is a legal contract and stipulates the responsibilities of the Owner to the Charterer and vice - versa. The conditions concerning the yacht's readiness for sea and the financial agreements are itemized so that both parties understand their commitment. Typically, a fifty percent deposit is payable to our Client Account to confirm the booking with the balance fee due prior to embarkation. In certain cases, i.e. motor-yacht charters, your agreement will also include an advance provisioning allowance to the yacht, and this is usually sent to us at the same time as the charter balance. The conditions are standard yacht charter practice throughout the world.
The charter rates will vary depending on the type, size of the vessel, its amenities and location in which you charter.
Most yachts generally quote their rates as a yacht charter fee "plus all expenses" known as MYBA Terms (i.e. fuel, dockage, food and beverages, taxes, formalities, customs fees etc are extra).
Most motor-sailer and gulet chartering agreements are on "Gulet Terms" which not only includes the hire of the yacht but also the yacht's insurance, crew wages, fuel and lubricants for an average of four hours cruising per day, ship's laundry and general use of water.
Some yachts may offer "all inclusive" pricing – which only excludes cost of alcoholic beverages.
Weekly charters are most common, but not mandatory. If the yacht is available you may charter for a shorter or longer period.
Yes. You may start on any day as long as the yacht is free. Your consultant will check the calendar and confirm your preferred dates. Please bear in mind especially in Eastern Merditerranean, i.e. Turkey, Greece and Croatia, gulet charters are mostly scheduled from/to Saturdays.
Charter rates are published per week.
For more than one week, the weekly rate is divided by seven and multiplied by the number of days.
For less than a week, the weekly rate is divided by six and multiplied by the number of days.
Most charters begin at noon on the first day and finish at noon on the final day. Some yachts may apply seasonal pricing during peak demand periods. For gulets, usually embarkation time is in the afternoon, and disembarkation in the morning.
The charter rate includes the yacht, the professional crew, standard equipment and full insurance for maritime risks.
Not included are VAT, fuel, food and drinks, local taxes, communications, marina fees, harbour dues, delivery or redelivery fees and any expenses related to embarkation or disembarkation away from the yachts home port. For some yachts, limited fuel, and home port berth fees may also be included in the charter rate.
APA is a fund that covers your onboard expenses such as fuel, food, drinks, berthing fees, transport, agency services and any special requests.
The APA is usually between 25 and 40 percent of the charter fee.
The Captain manages these funds and provides a full account at the end of your charter. Any unused amount is returned to you either in cash or through bank transfer.
Crew gratuities are fully discretionary. A guideline is between 10 and 20 percent of the charter fee depending on your satisfaction. The most common method is to hand the tip to the Captain at the end of the charter for fair distribution among the crew.
Most yachts are certified to accommodate a maximum of 12 guests overnight due to international rules. If you require a yacht for more than 12 guests, we can propose vessels that are legally registered for higher capacity. Daytime guest limits depend on the yacht and safety regulations.
Of course. Every yacht has its own style and personality. Our charter team inspects yachts regularly in Turkey, Greece, Croatia and major yacht shows worldwide. We use this firsthand knowledge to match you with the best options based on your preferences. You may browse our selection or speak directly with a consultant for expert guidance.
Once availability is confirmed you will receive a Charter Agreement.
To finalise the booking 25 to 50 percent of the charter fee is payable upon signing.
The remaining 50 percent plus APA VAT and any additional agreed costs are payable one month before embarkation
Most bookings follow the MYBA charter terms.
If the charter is cancelled after the deposit is paid but before the final payment, the owner keeps the deposit.
If the charter is cancelled after the full payment is made, the owner keeps the full charter fee but returns the APA.
If you need to cancel, your consultant can assist in negotiating alternative dates when possible. Other contract formats may have different rules.
Travel insurance is always recommended while traveling in case of unforeseen circumstances. Your charter agreement will detail insurance provisions onboard: the yacht remains insured by the owner during your charter, however it is recommend that you purchase additional liability coverage to protect you and your guests from any unforeseen mishap.
Yes. Share your preferred destinations and we shape the itinerary together. The yachts speed, weather, marina availability, local regulations and visa rules may influence the final route. Embarkation or disembarkation away from the yachts base port may involve delivery fees.
When you arrive at the nearest airport to your yacht, our staff can arrange for you to be met on arrival and escorted to your yacht. Before you arrive, your captain will have received an information sheet giving the names and the approximate ages of your party, when, where and which flights you arrive on and also the details of any food, drink or special dietary requirements you may have, so that your yacht is fully stocked and you can commence your cruise with the minimum of fuss.
Yes. You are welcome to enjoy all facilities as if the yacht were your own home.
In many destinations a license is required for motorised toys such as jet skis or similar equipment. Age restrictions may also apply.
For scuba diving a valid certification such as PADI is required. If you are not certified we can arrange a diving instructor to join the charter in many locations.
Most yachts will not permit guests to bring pets on board in order to maintain rigid cleanliness standards. Please check with us prior to your arrival.
A few weeks before your charter we will send a detailed preference list. This covers cuisine, allergies, medical notes, cabin arrangements, drinks, childrens needs and any special occasions.
The Captain and crew prepare the yacht according to your requests.
Simply inform us or the Captain. We work with the Captain and crew to arrange transportation, local guides, reservations and any experiences you would like to enjoy during your charter.
